Road Conditions
Many of Jamaica’s inland roads are pothole-riddled. Drive very slowly on these roads to avoid damage and ensure safety.
On rougher roads without many potholes, drive slowly at about 40 km/h or less.
On roads with many potholes, drive at a maximum speed of 20 km/h.
Security Tips
Avoid leaving valuables in your car in plain sight.
Do not leave the vehicle unattended or parked for an extended period in very secluded areas.
